Marjorie Van Cura has received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting from The University of Massachusetts in Amherst (1993) and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting from The University of Pennsylvania (2002). Between 1998-99 she additionally studied at The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
Van Cura has had four solo exhibitions, Surface Journeys in 1996 in The Cambridge Center Art Gallery, Cambridge, MA; Chimeras & Other Visual Trickery in 2007 at The Small Works Gallery of Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, NY; Recent Works in 2010 at Kill Devil Hill Boutique and Rhythm at Yes! Gallery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Her work was included in GO! Brooklyn Art Open Studios, organized by the Brooklyn Museu in 2012.
