One of the most important Conceptual Artists to come out of America, Dennis Oppenheim was exhibited by the John Gibson Gallery from 1968 to 1991, presenting fixteen exhibitions in all, nine of which were solo exhibitions. The works in this portfolio are based upon Oppenheim's earliest works, all Land and Environmental activities, such as were included in the iconic "ECOLOGIC ART" exhibition of 1969. The portfolio to which they belong is part of several important museum collections, including The Museum of Modern Art, The Whitney Mueum of American Art, The Art Institute of Chicago, and more.
